Fire Alarm

BARLOW ELECTRIC can install fire alarm systems in commercial buildings and homes.

Commercial Fire Alarm systems require extensive planning, permits and inspections and are normally completed in conjunction with a fire alarm company that provides the plans, permit and equipment.
BARLOW ELECTRIC will install the boxes, pull the wire and complete the necessary pretesting inspections. The fire alarm company then follows with programming, final device testing and fire marshall inspection.

Residential Fire Alarms generally consist of electrically operated and singularly connected detector/alarm devices throughout the house. These devices include a battery backup system. A typical home system may include one or a combination of the following:

Heat detectors
Smoke detectors (ion or photoelectric)
Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors
Escape lights

Residential alarm systems generally require smoke detectors in all bedrooms, hallways and now a CO detector - check with your local building department for definite requirements.
