You say, "but Kevin, i can get the work done much cheaper with a friend, family member, neighbor or handyman!"
True, you may well, indeed, find a better price. But then, are you sure of the quality and satisfied with the work? I have to ask:

What about your peace of mind?

Can you get the handyman to return for a correction?

Can he obtain the required permit for the job?
Is he insured?
